Irritated by amusingly-flawed subtitles or mistake-laden voiceovers on YouTube videos?


That’s AI at work – falling down on the job!


If your company’s video is low quality like this, how will it impact on the brand?


Perhaps you’re thinking: “Yes, poorer quality, but it WAS cheaper.”


Time to smell the coffee. Buy cheap, get cheap, look cheap, sound cheap!


Absurd mistakes in subtitling and voiceovers simply hold your brand up to ridicule.


As a human copywriter with tons of corporate comms know-how, I’m a tad biased, so asked an AI tool for its opinion. 


“AI Overviews” told me: “AI subtitle and voiceover mistakes in promotional videos can damage a brand by creating nonsensical messaging, alienating the audience, reflecting a poor image and leading to legal issues or financial penalties.”


Creating marketing content that actually works is about “connecting” with a reader’s mind. This requires “emotional intelligence”. 


AI can’t do that because it lacks the emotion to empathise with humans. What’s more, it adopts a “best guess” approach when unsure of spellings, pronunciation or easy-to-understand grammar.


Moral of the story? Go cheap, look cheap. Or hire ME! 


Unlike AI, I’ll get it right first time, with the kind of polish that’ll make your brand’s credibility shine.
